Treated Coco p is an excellent substrate for root growth, increasing fertility, increasing microbial content and increasing soil nutrients, improving soil structure.

3. Benefits of coconut mulch (Coco Coir)
As a soil improver, add organic matter.
Helps improve soil structure.
- Aeration of the soil is very good for the roots.
- Improves water retention
Acts like a sponge to hold water in the root zone so the plant can use it when needed. Coir has a better water holding capacity than most soil amendments and it can hold seven to ten times its weight.
Helps the soil retain nutrients to provide plants.
4. How to use coconut mulch (Coco Coir) in gardening
To ensure the highest efficiency of coco peat, can be mixed with many types of media in the ratio:
In the garden or for potted plants, up to 40% of coir can be mixed with soil or potting mix.
– Sowing seeds: can use coco humus in combination with 1 part of organic fertilizer
– Growing sprouts: use 100% coco peat substrate
Combining their use with rock products will provide the best results in terms of drainage, aeration and water retention.
– Hydroponic growing medium: use 100% coco peat substrate. Coconut mulch is used a lot in hydroponics because of its high porosity and good moisture-holding capacity
– Improve soil: use 15-20% coconut humus
